Your Voice - Marie Marshall (Poetry)

Updated: Oct 28, 2018

Marie Marshall's poem discusses the harshness and the love still present in abusive relationships, and how that there is always hope despite the negativity.

Your voice,

A yelling,

Like shooting bullets

I cover my face,

Open palms in defence

I welcome the

Sunken deep

Entangles in hand lines

Caught in the webbing,

I am alive but,

Once here aligned,

Now remnants reside

In my grasp.

It stings.

Broken mirror,

Pities the happy ever after,

Before we go endurant in our smiles.
