Little Victories - W. Weaselhausen (Poetry)

This poem is dedicated to, and inspired by, all the amazing people who fight through depression. You guys are an inspiration.

I am 26 years old

I am 9490 days old

I know this because of my depression

I know this because I am still alive.

I have won 9490 little victories,

I have won but there is no prize.

Sometimes victory is easy

Sometimes victory is the hardest thing of all.

But here I am

But here I am

Still fighting

Still breathing

Still smiling

Still standing.

Yet every time I feel lucky

Yet every time I feel proud,

My brains reminds me

My brain reminds me that:

9490 little victories count for nothing

If I only have to lose once.
